Wandering

I've been doing a good amount of work in one of the museum preparation labs, and when I get bored, I wander. I took these pics in one of the storage rooms:

Mooses. Meeses? Meese?

Pine tree and Dimetrodon.

Hippo and Dodo. Obviously.

My God. In that last pic, are the statues relative to scale? I had no idea the Dodo was that large! Now I want to see a Dodo and Hippo cage match. Bring back the Dodo!

The dodo would rule us all!

Actually, I *think* that those were used as models for illustration or for larger-scale building. Though for the life of me, I can't think of anywhere in the museum that a full-size dodo could be found.

(Also, I think that they were about the size of geese.)

Just curious, did your employers in DC ever find out about your blog? I'm not judging, but I'm sure you did a fair amount of the blogging at work?

anon - I don't know if they ever knew about it, but I am being completely honest when I say that any blogging done at work was done on my lunch hour.

When posting, I have the option to change the time of my post to any date or time, and I did this regularly in order to "space out" posts. If it looks like I posted something at 10:30 a.m. on a Tuesday, it was most likely posted at 7 a.m. or 10 p.m. There's no reason for this except that I am slightly OCD and I like things to be even. Man, I'm kinda crazy...

I really was careful not to blog at work when on company time, really.
