I was at the mall the other day when I spied a great sign posted near the register of an autonomous unit for mid-mall snacking:
"We will be happy to serve you once you've finished your call."
THANK YOU, Surf City Squeeze! I've never understood why people can't unglue their GD cell phones from their ears for the three minutes it takes to order a smoothie or pay for a pair of shoes. Absolutely brilliant. It makes me love the Squeeze even more.

I've actually seen quite a few of those. I often wonder if the people who have the phones glued to their ear even notice.
I love those signs, too!
Also, do you not think that, as SurfCity Squeeze is an eatery, it is part of the food court? :)
lem - I wonder if they get served...
rr - Surf City Squeeze does not qualify as part of the food court. It operates away from the said designated square that is the food court.
happy christmas!
mush - Happy Christmas to you, too!
Please tell me you were thinking of Mallrats when saying that Surf City Squeeze is not part of the food court.
:)
lem - What's Mallrats?
Hehe.
And now I just have "that kid is *back* on the escalator" stuck in my head.
Listen, not a year goes by, not a year, that I don't hear about some escalator accident involving some bastard kid which could have easily been avoided had some parent - I don't care which one - but some parent conditioned him to fear and respect that escalator.
I think that may have been his greatest role ever.
lem - I *almost* saw the Chipmunks movie just because Jason Lee was in it. Almost. That's how much I love him.
You just made my day. :)
jlr - Ha! Glad to have been of service :)
